Do stop by Peggy’s for all of this week's Simple Woman Daybook links.
Outside my window. . .Calm
I am thinking. . . that it's been awhile since I've been able to sit down and write a Simple Woman Daybook. A certain amount of peace and calm are needed in the contemplation of this weekly journal. My life has been anything but peaceful and calm.
I am thankful for. . . co-op and dance being canceled today.
From the kitchen. . . my kitchen cabinets are totally bare and void. My countertops are top heavy with the inners of my cabinets. I am purging, ripping up shelf paper, throwing away the mix-match variety of coffee mugs, and boxing old dishes to give-away.
I am creating. . . normalcy
I am going. . . to finish organizing the cabinets after writing my daybook entry.
I am wearing. . . my nightgown...still.
I am reading. . . Galveston's Summer of the Storm by Julie Lake
I am hoping. . . there will be no more hurricanes.
I am hearing. . . the newer version of Sway (sorry, Dean-'ol boy). It plays on the dance studio's website and I had to check in this morning for class updates post-Ike. The beat is so upbeat, I just left the window open and playing.
Around the house. . . the cat is scratching on a box Mark received last week from Fed Ex and hasn't been home to open due to hurricane duty at work.
One of my favorite things. . .a house still standing after a hurricane. Really.
A few plans for the rest of the week. . . honestly, I haven't even looked in my planner. Don't care to. I want this week to be as lazy as the Gulf is at this moment. I think soccer games are (were) suppose to start this week. We'll see.
I am praying...for all those who have lost so much in these storms.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you. . .
So glad to see you are well - and I think you deserve a lazy week - with food! lol!

Oh, thank you for the Scripture banner. I needed that after today. Lol.
By the way, we read our first Crinkleroot today. LOVED it!

Cay dear, Marianna and I just returned to the boat yesterday. What a mess! Before we haul all the beloved things down the dock to the boat we are going to purge everything else. It has got to go and now is the perfect time while everything is in disarray, right?
