Don’t forget to stop by Peggy’s for all the links entered in this week’s Simple Woman’s Daybook.
Outside my window. . . my sister-in-law is outside on her back porch watering her plants
I am thinking. . .that I am ready for school to start but not for the activities that go with it.
I am thankful for. . .life!
From the kitchen (at some point today). . . a fresh pot of coffee, a pot of chicken noodle soup (dh seems to be catching a summer cold :( ), and a watermelon cake (HT from Danielle).
I am creating. . .a talk for next month.
I am going. . . to the store then to the Children's Museum or SPAR today.
I am wearing. . .a yellow top, blue jean capris, barefeet
I am reading. . . A Charlotte Mason Companion by Karen Andreola because, like Danielle, I pull it off the bookshelf at least once or twice and year and am always assured a rejuvenation of spirit.
I am hoping. . .my husband's blood tests come back negative for anything serious.
I am hearing. . .the house dog scratching to come inside.
I am praying for...test results expected today or tomorrow.
Around the house. . .Kayleigh and her friend are in the kitchen, eating breakfast, planning a cooking night for their friends, and talking about college plans...my neighbor's son just delivered five boxes of hsing books in my sitting room for me to surf through and bring to the upcoming hs conference...the girls' room is in desperate need of a good decluttering/clean-up.
One of my favorite things. . .Annie's new bob haircut, it fits her personality perfectly.
A few plans for the rest of the week. . . the calendar is blank...oh, happy day!
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you. . .
(Meme and PawPaw had 4 sons, 15 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren...there are lots of personalities and quirks and hidden feelings represented in this family photo...and only half of the Gibson Gang is shown here! the only ones who were within shouting distance when the photo was taken on the spur of the moment...but it's family...it's our family...and we love being a part of "the gang")
We'll pray with you about Mark's test results and will be looking forward to seeing Annie's new do!
