Thanks for directing me to that question.. I wish I had an answer for it but I have the same question myself. Hopefully someone will have an answer that helps me bring peace to my home as well.

We are not "there" yet. But, we find that as God continues to simplify our lives, whether we want it or not, that it is easier to have joy and peace.
I have a 3 and 5 year old and I have found that taking the time to stop and talk about peace and God's way vs. ours, pays off in the long run. Discipline takes so much time and effort, but I think our kids our highly empathetic of others and kind.
I saw this modeled in my sister in law with the cousins who are MUCH older and I wanted that in my own kids. It has given me something to aim for.
Grace, laughter and humility assisted by a slower pace of life also help. We don't pay for tv, we visit our library weekly, we live a bit outside of town, we have a garden, I'm hanging clothes on the line, vacation bible school helping and playing, berry picking, sitting by the creek - is keeping our summer busy, but slow. Purposefully, we stay busy. Purposefully we simplify.
"In Him, we live and move and have our being." Acts 17:28
God's grace surrounds us. We aim to live not by rules, but by relationship.
I have been blessed by the depth here:
