My dear friend Kimberly Kane has a lovely new website called Mommy's Heart. Make sure you click on the heart that says: Encouraging Your Heart. Simply beautiful writing there!!!
Her new website will introduce you to the friend I know and love. I have known and watched Kimberly in action for several years now and have admired the care, diligence, and love with which she cares for her family. Her heart is truly a Mommy's Heart for, before she had her first baby, Kimberly was a reporter, a feature writer, and a teacher; but she laid down her pen to pick-up her first baby and, in doing so, allowed God to use her as His quill.
Kimberly also has a Friend's Heart. Several years ago I bashfully called Kimberly and asked if I 
could examine her lapbooks. She didn't know me from Adam, but the Eve in her offered me a warm welcome into her home and an afternoon was spent discussing and sharing lapbooks and Kimberly introduced me to the awesome curriculum Five in a Row. For Kimberly is a FIAR-veteran and well-versed in lovely picture books.
Kimberly has taken this love for literature and children and used her experience with picture books to allow God to guide her hand once again in writing beautiful things on the hearts of other mommies.
Their most recent work is her new book Everytime You Call Me Mommy: An Adoption Blessing. In this book, Kimberly shares her adoptive mother heart with other adoptive parents and their children.

And this Thursday we're having another Cake Book Walk and Kimberly has generously donated a copy of her book as the cake treat to win. We all know someone who is adopted, has adopted, or wants to adopt. What a wonderful gift from one mommy's heart to another.
All you have to do is email me your name and mailing address. You will be assigned a number which will be dropped into the Cake Bowl...after we finish licking the bowl, of course. Friday morning a number will be pulled from the bowl and that winner will be notified before the winner is announced here on the blog.
