Dear Cake Eaters, Book Blog Readers,
Okay, my husband and I have counted (and recounted) the Book-Walk entries and there are so many that we have a difference by two.
As the day is not yet over and I want the Book Walk to be completely fair, I will wait for the last few participants to hop on a number and then do a recount in the morning.
In the mist of this happy Book-Walk, I have felt the weight of my friends whose days have been anything but a piece of cake. While we all await to see who the Grand Prize Winner is, please take this time to pray a special prayer (even a simple Our Father) for these special intentions:
- Dylan---a friend's son (about 12 years of age) who was in a 4-wheeler accident over the weekend which crushed his leg. Doctors are trying to stave off infection in the leg so they do not have to amputate it. Lord, hear our prayer.
- Another friend wrote me that "...my mother just started her first round of chemo for recurrent colon cancer. It did not reappear in her colon, but her lungs. We are still in a fog of shock and disbelief. Her five year anniversary to be cancer-free was spent at the oncologist’s office finding out this horrible news." Lord, hear our prayer.
- Alice's dear mother who has had a severe stroke which has left her paralyzed on the left-side of her body. Lord, hear our prayer.
- There have been the San Diego fires which, as a hurricane evacuee and survivor myself, I relate to all too well. Lord, hear our prayer.
- And the prayer intentions at the 4Real Learning forum are ones that I hold near and dear to my heart. Lord, hear our prayer.
I will be praying for all of you as well.
Thank you so much for posting these prayer requests, Cay. You are so kind and thoughtful.
