Home School Family Weekend August 10-12, 2007 Abbeville, LA So you can't make it to Virginia either, huh? Well, if you find yourself closer to the Gulf of Mexico, here's an alternative, an inspirational conference you might like to make. It has all the fruits of a Mother Culture weekend set out for you to enjoy: Mom's Coffee, Children's Storytime, Narration, Tea Time, Art, Music, Picnic, Nature Study. Come join other CM-minded ladies under the beautiful southern oak trees and enjoy a weekend retreat.
Friday, August 10
6pm-8pm Family Hot Dog Roast and Social (Location TBA)
Saturday, August 11
Events will be held at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church Ministries Building.
9 am Moms' Coffee
10 am Presentation by Cay Gibson, author of Catholic Mosaic
11 am-12:30 pm Children's Story Hour
12:30 pm-2:00 pm Mom's lunch and round table discussion
2:30 pm Moms' Reflection by Cay Gibson
3:00 pm Tea and Cake with the Saints by Alice Cantrell
4:00-5:00 pm Studying Art and Music by Colleen Mitchell
9:30 am Holy Mass at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church
11:30 -1:30 Family Picnic and Nature Study at Big Woods
Cost: $10 per day per family

Forwarding this to my wife. We have pretty much hammered down our plans (loosely speaking) for the year and it leans very heavily towards the CM method. I would be shocked if we don't show up. Look forward to meeting you.
