So tonight my husband asks me how my Adoration hour was.
"Good," I answered, continuing to fold two basket loads of clean clothes.
Silence.
Husband: "Something wrong?"
Me: "No. I just have a lot on my mind."
Husband: "What could you possibly have on your mind?"
Those are fightin' word, my boy.
"Honey!...
- "I have projects that are due...past due even."
- "I need to remember to go this week and register the children for CCD."
- "I need to check into ordering Kayleigh's cap and gown pictures."
- "Did you forget I had a dental appointment this morning and had half my face bubbled up?"
- "Don't forget I had to meet Kayleigh afterwards at the vet for that dumb dog."
- "And I need to remember that Teal (son's dog) needs to go back in two weeks. Gotta make an appointment."
- "And Corey decided he wants to go to college by taking night and online classes so I've been looking information up for him and trying to help him out."
- "I have two talks I need to prepare."
- "I need to call Kristi about the LEAP prep tutoring for Garrett."
- "I'm in the middle of planning the 2007-2008 school years: books, curriculum, activities, etc."
- Etc. Etc. Etc.
I think he was sorry he asked.
My goodness! I can just see the look on his face : )

Cay--Are we sharing a brain now? Just before I came to your blog, I made a vet and dentist appt., e-mailed about our little conference, and looked at past art studies to begin preparing...and dh walked in said "What are we having for lunch?" UMMMM....Anyway, if you want to smile, I blogged about our meeting yesterday--take a look!

I think my dh can have lots on his mind too sometimes, but they are completely different than the things on my mind. Mine are just like yours, with the exception of the pet related items.

Maybe he just forgot to add the 'not.' "Knowing how busy you are, Darling, what could you possibly NOT have on your mind." Husbands are adorable, even if they ask crazy questions sometimes!
