Playing in the creek with cousins...
Old Helm's Creek where Meme played as a child (nature's air conditioning in the summertime)...
Picking blackberries along the creek bank with cousins...
Eating on the back porch of the farmhouse with cousins...
Riding the red wagon down the hillside and across the bridge with the cousins...
Running and hiding from cousins in the corn crop as twilight descends...
Carrying small cousins...
Riding the 4-wheeler all over Dadoo's old farmstead with cousins...
Standing in the pinata line with the cousins...
Seeing how many relatives can get on a swing before it breaks...
Forming an old-fashion assembly line in the garden...
Picking plumb potatoes in the potato patch...
Playing football in the old cotton field...(I warned those boys about the red bugs in that field)...
And swinging cousins on the old tire swing in the same front yard Meme played on as a little girl...
Praying together as a family because Dadoo and MeMomma passed the gift of prayer down to their nine children who passed it down to their children who continue to pass it down to their children...
Eating good country home cooking as a family...
My big chicks all in a row...
And sleeping cousins...
And I (the official photographer) did make it into one photo...with my adopted daughter Julie, who thinks she's small enough to sit on my lap...
May God richly bless you and your families with good food, good health, and good living.
This post brought a great big smile to my face. It reminds me so much of my childhood in P.R. You are very blessed!!!
