"Thank heaven for little girls
thank heaven for them all,
no matter where no matter who
for without them, what would little boys do?
Thank heaven... thank heaven...
Thank heaven for little girls!" ~ Maurice Chevalier - Thank Heaven for Little Girls (from Gigi) Lyrics
* * * * *
We focus so much on the baby years because they are so beautiful and so fresh and so grand and so sweet that often times we forget to focus on the joy and beauty of the adults our children become. They do grow up...
And while it is so bittersweet...
...it's also very beautiful and very fresh and very grand and very sweet as well.
"The goal in raising one’s child is to enable him, first, to discover who he wants to be, and then to become a person who can be satisfied with himself and his way of life. Eventually he ought to be able to do in his life whatever seems important, desirable, and worthwhile to him to do; to develop relations with other people that are constructive, satisfying, mutually enriching; and to bear up well under the stresses and hardships he will unavoidably encounter during his life." ~ Bruno Bettelheim

Lovely! (kids and clothes, that is...)
That is one of the best dresses I've seen in a long time, absolutely beautiful! She has great taste.
